• Announce scholarship opportunities

Thursday, September 19 @ IHMC, 8:30am to 4:00pm (ish)

• 8:30am – Continental Breakfast
• 9:00am – 9:30am – Keynote speaker: Wendy Makkena
• 9:30am – 10:30am –Team Building
• 10:30am – 11:15am – Workshop 1: Storytelling
• 11:15am – 12:00pm – Workshop 2: Cinematography
• 12:00pm – 12:45pm– lunch
• 12:45pm – 1:30pm –Workshop 3: Audio / Lighting
• 1:30pm – 2:15pm – Workshop 4: Editing
• 2:15pm – 3:00pm – Workshop 5: Directing
• 3:00pm – 3:30pm – Whole Group Q&A with Wendy Makkena
• 3:45pm – 4:30pm – Walking tour to familiarize students with the preselected filming locations.
• 5:00pm – 6:30pm – OFD committee and help will set up editing bays/stations for Friday
• 7:00pm – 9:00 pm- *Highlight: Wendy Makkena will host a workshop for teachers and mentors.

Friday, September 20 @ IHMC, 7:30am – 6:00pm (ish)

• 7:30am – 8:00am – Continental Breakfast
• 8:00am – 9:00am – Announce film “challenges” prepare and release teams to film in established/authorized downtown areas
• Lunch- Students will have box lunches delivered to them on set
• 6:00pm – Deadline for submission of videos
• After hours – OFD adults prep student film submissions and get them to the judges, discussion regarding scholarship winners will begin

Saturday, September 21 @IHMC 2pm-5pm

• Actors Workshop with Wendy Makkena, 15 SE Osceola Avenue

Sunday, September 22 @ Marion Theatre 2pm-5pm

• Ocala Film Derby Screening, Awards & Scholarship Ceremony
• Acknowledgements
• Drinks and snacks provided for teams

Friday, November 1 @ IHMC 6pm

• Teacher/ Mentor Workshop with Tony Spiridakis

Saturday, November 2 @ Marion Theater 9am-12pm, 1pm Screening to follow

• Ezra screening with Q&A pane
